All of our self catering holiday properties are situated around the hamlet of Sandyhills ( Barend Holiday Village) on the lovely Colvend Coast. From luxury Traditional Scandinavian A frame Holiday Lodges set in the parkland setting of Barend Holiday Village with views south out over Sandyhills Bay to the Lake District to traditional stone built Galloway Cottages nestling down in the hamlet - a stone’s throw from the beautiful Sandyhills beach.

In Dumfries and Galloway you can experience many landscapes, forest parks with Deer and Red Kites, rolling farmland and sheltered lochs with Red Kites and Herons, from its long coastline with spectacular headlands and cliffs to sheltered sandy bays. From walking on Sandyhills beach to Mountain biking, golfing or fishing we have it all. So much to do and see - or just relax and take in the fresh peaceful Galloway air. All of our self-catering Holiday properties at Barend Holiday Village in Dumfries & Galloway are furnished and equipped to a high standard; all have partial double glazing and are fully centrally heated - ensuring warm and comfortable holidays throughout the year. Kitchens are equipped to cook to a good standard with scales, hand blenders and ample cutlery, crockery and utensils. Holiday Patio furniture is available at all, barbecues at some. We aim to provide self-catering Holiday lodges at Sandyhills in Galloway as good as home.
