Menu for Saturday 27th March 2010

For starters

Fresh Cheese and Walnut Tartlet. Light Filo Pastry filled with  creamy Mascarpone cheese, Stilton and Walnuts on a bed on baby spinach with a raspberry vinegar dressing.

Fresh fish Hors D'Oeuvre. A Delicious selection of Galloway Smokehouse Smoked Salmon, Poached Salmon and Prawns, on a bed of frissee  and radichio lettuce.

Chicken Liver and Brandy Pate served with Galloway oatcakes and Spiced Redcurrent jelly.

Grierson's Black Pudding on a bed of curly lettuce and vine tomato, topped with crispy smoked bacon and a creme Fraiche dressing.

Roast Parsnip and Carrot soup with a warming hint of chilli, served with fresh Crusty French Bread.

Brie Stuffed Chicken Breast wrapped in Smoked Bacon, pan fried and served with a fresh Cranberry reduction.

Prime local Sirloin Steak, grilled to your taste with saute mushrooms and tomatoes - served with fresh crispy chips and salad if you wish.

Salmon Steak, marinated in a lime and coconut sauce, then oven roasted.
Prime Local Venison.
Local organic venison casseroled with port, red wine and juniper berries, deliciously melt in the mouth. Served with creamy mash.
Pork Stroganoff.
Delicious Pork Fillet in a creamy mushroom and Brandy sauce served on a bed of fluffy rice.
Grilled Halloumi.
Grilled Halloumi with fried red pepper, tomatoes, black olives with a sweet chilli sauce on a bed of rice.
Today's selection of Potatoes and fresh Vegetables.

Warm and gooey Walnut Tart.
A delicious tart crammed full of walnuts in a toffee sauce with a sweet pastry case, served with a big splodge of whipped cream.

Caroline's Cheesecake.
Cointreau and Orange baked cheesecake with a chocolate topping and served with a dollop of cream.

Fresh Raspberry Creme Brulee.
Lovely light Creme Brulee served with a Raspberry Coulis and Vanilla Shortbread.
The Ultimate Chocolate Roulade!
70% Belgian Chocolate Roulade with a white Belgian Chocolate filling, served with fresh strawberries.

A Bowl of Cream O'Galloway Ice Cream.
Choose from sticky Toffee, Strawberry, Double Chocolate or Vanilla.

Luscious Lemon Tart.
A devine light pastry case filled to the brim with a lemon filling, served with a Raspberry Coulis and a dollop of fresh whippped cream.
