Our Properties
All Galloway Country Cottages self catering properties are furnished and equipped to a very high standard; all have partial double glazing and are fully centrally heated - ensuring warm and comfortable holidays throughout the year. Kitchens are equipped to cook to a good standard with scales, hand blenders and ample cutlery, crockery and utensils. Patio furniture is available at all, barbecues at some. Galloway Country Cottages aim to provide self catering as good as home. All bed linen, towels and kitchen cloths/oven gloves etc in a Galloway Country Cottages self catering property are included as are dishwashing tablets, washing up liquid, refuse bags, etc. Facilities at Sandyhills and Barend Holiday Village There is a small shop adjacent to the camp site in the bay which is open daily during the season, and sells milk, bread, and other essentials. Barend Riding Stables which are great and friendly whether its children led rides, or hires for more experienced riders. Fishing - we have our own small loch which contains some large and wiley carp! bring your bait and patience! this is free to all who stay at Barend. The holiday village has a coin operated laundrette which is open daily, in addition to a small childrens play area (a play area for small children!). There is also a licensed bar serving bar food - opening times may vary depending on the time of the year.
